In the NCU Challenge Cup first round, Derriaghy were easily defeated once again by Muckamore.

In a day with very little to smile about there was some scant consolation in the fact Andy Kenny scored 41 and looks to be back to his best form, Faheem Suleman, the new overseas star took his first DCC wicket and Ricky Hewitt took a stunning catch in the field.

Derriaghy batted first and posted just 159 on a belter of a wicket. Kenny scored that 41 and only Suleman with 29 and Lewis with 18 took the fight to Muckamore.

In reply Muckamore lost 3 wickets in chasing 160, Wayne Hughes, Suleman and Stuart Hegarty the wicket takers.
